Lands End Coastal Walk with San Francisco Park Stewardship
Coastal walk participants take a closer look at Ocean Beach.

Park Stewardship Staff

San Francisco is surrounded by water, but have you ever wondered how we impact the shorelines around us? Join us for a walk around Lands End to learn about the coastal and marine environmental about San Francisco and our impacts on our waterways.  We will be sharing information about fish and mammals that live in the waters around San Francisco, how habitat restoration work and parks affect water, and some of the recent events and changes to the oceans around the Bay.  This coastal walk will be about 2 hours long and is a moderate walk with a few staircases. This walk will begin at the trailhead near Sutro Baths and explore the coastal and dune environments along the way.
