Bird's-eye view of Lake Lagunitas in Marin County.

Join us for a guided tour of MMWD’s Mt. Tamalpais watershed lands to learn about ongoing vegetation management efforts and the Vegetation Mapping Project. This tour will be led by MMWD Natural Resources Manager, Shaun Horne and One Tam’s Director of Science and Conservation Programs, Janet Klein.

We will meet just past the Sky Oaks Watershed Headquarters field office, located at 49 Sky Oaks Rd, Fairfax, CA 94930 (google map). Pass the headquarters field office on your left and we will meet at the small dirt parking lot immediately after, on your right. If possible, please carpool because parking is limited.  From the parking lot we will get into a van and visit two backcountry locations where we will get out of the vans to enjoy vistas and talk about the landscape-level management of our watershed.

Space in our vans is limited, so registration is required. We invite you to join us at 8:30am for coffee and pastries, and at 9am we’ll share a brief introduction and then will depart at 9:10am. Please arrive by 9am to ensure you don’t miss us! Bring sturdy walking shoes, your water bottle, and binoculars are optional.

If registration is full and you would like to be added to the waitlist, or for any questions, contact Monica Stafford at mstafford@onetam.org.
