Juneteenth tours highlights the stories of Black individuals on this island.
While Juneteenth symbolizes the liberation of those who had remained enslaved long after the proclamation, it is also a reminder of the struggles and eventual triumphs of Black people in the fight for freedom and equality. The stories of Black men on this island, on both sides of the bars, reflect these same things.
