Felt the Forest: Wildlife Walk & Crafts

An NPS ranger holding a small handmade felt animal to the camera at Muir Woods
Felt Crafting in Muir Woods

National Parks Service

A redwood forest is home to countless critters: banana slugs in the duff, fish in the creek, deer amongst the ferns, and a surprising variety tucked up in the canopy. But who are they, and what makes the woods hospitable to them? Join Ranger Michelle on a short walk in Muir Woods to reflect on ecosystems, habitats, and concepts of home before tucking ourselves away to craft felt pins of the animals who inspire us.
