Registration is required for this event.
Ever been curious about what creatures are active starting around sunset and into the night? We are! Join us for a night walk to learn about the local wildlife that you can hear or see at night in The Presidio. We'll enjoy an easy evening walk to find out what might be making that noise over there or may have flew over our heads unaware. We will be joined by Phoebe Parker-Shames (Wildlife Ecologist) and Margarita Montenegro (Wildlife Biological Science Technician) (both with the Presidio Trust), Allen Fish (Birder and Moth Lepidopterist), and Isaac Krone (Herpetologist) to share what they know of the creatures that thrive in the night!
We will meet at the Presidio Transit Center (just East of the Presidio Visitor Center) then journey into the Tennessee Hollow Watershed for an easy walk of up to 2 miles.
Please bring your own flashlight / head lamp, and we'll have some on hand, as well.
Additional Info
There are many parking lots near the Presidio Transit Center that require payment until 6pm.
Please come prepared for a hike and dress warmly for the evening with us!
