When: Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, 10am – 1pm
Where: Lands End, San Francisco; specific meeting location will be in the confirmation email after registering. Registration Required.
Join us to greet the new year by planting thirteen species of plants native to the sand dunes into their new home. Lots of gratitude to our friends at the nursery for growing these plants for us from precious seeds collected right here in the park. Planting will be our primary work at this event; time- and weather-permitting, we'll also take a nature walk together and have some optional discussion/writing prompts about intentions for the year to come. We'll also have hot tea and snacks.
Please contact community@parksconservancy.org with any accessibility needs or questions. All community members are welcome at this event.
Accessibility details: This event is fully outdoors, so masks will be optional, but please tune into the others around you and mask up when approaching anyone else wearing a mask.
The Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
