Celebrate Pride Month in the Marin Headlands! Join a ranger-led hike to Battery Townsley, followed by a tour inside the historic WWII fortification. This program will focus on WWII’s impacts on the LGBTQ+ community, the history of the Lavender Scare, and the importance of sharing these stories today.

This program starts with a 0.6-mile hike uphill on a paved trail. The group will meet at the Coastal Trailhead at the Rodeo Beach Parking Lot and hike together to the battery. Bring layers, comfortable shoes, and a flashlight or headlamp, as we will conclude around sunset. The tour takes place indoors. The participant limit is 20 people, so call 415-331-1540 to reserve a spot.
