Serve the Parks on this Day of National Service
Maria Durana
When: Saturday, January 17th, 10am - 1pm.
Where: Fort Mason, San Francisco. Specific meeting location will be listed in the registration confirmation email; registration is required.
We will be planting native plants around a newly constructed pond to create more habitat for the endangered San Francisco Garter Snake and threatened California Red-legged Frog. It will be a muddy day tucking in new plants among existing young ones. We will be hiking less than 1 mile on and off trail, on uneven terrain, and in slippery conditions. Rain boots or waterproof hiking shoes are recommended.
Groups of five or more may require special arrangements and must be confirmed in advance. Visit our Groups volunteer page to learn more.
The Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
