Join us for a day of gardening and art in the beautiful Black Point Historic Gardens in Fort Mason. These hillside gardens have been brought back to life after 50 years of abandonment with the support of community volunteers. Join us to tend to this special landscape, while also tending your creative spark! We will explore crafts that can connect us more deeply to our gardens, such as natural dye-making, cyanotype printing, and weaving with plant material. No prior gardening or craft experience needed. Registration required.

Please bring closed-toed shoes, clothing you can work in, and your sense of curiosity! Water bottle and hat recommended.

Accessibility: The gardens are on a hillside, and most work requires navigating uneven terrain, slopes, and/or stairs, as well as kneeling or sitting. There is a public restroom about 5-10 minute walk from the worksite. We can often accommodate adjustments and supports and we are more likely to find the best fit for you with advanced notice. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions about accessibility.
