The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy presented its vision for the Presidio Exchange (PX) at Crissy Field to a packed house in the Presidio on June 17, 2013, the first opportunity for public input and feedback on the best use of the former Commissary site in the Golden Gate National Parks. 

Band of Bridges was awarded the 2013 Social Media in Travel + Tourism Awards for its innovative use of social media to connect, engage, and excite fans of the iconic Bridge from across the world, many of whom might not have been able to attend the anniversary festival or visit during the anniversary year.

Next spring (May 2013-May 2014), the SFMOMA in partnership with the National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy will present a major outdoor exhibition of sculptor Mark di Suvero’s works near the Golden Gate Bridge.

Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy announced a $1 million grant from The Tiffany & Co. Foundation to revitalize the vicinity of the historic Battery East in the Presidio.
