Come work alongside female-identifying NPS Trail Crew folks to improve the Fort Funston trail system! We will be using shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows to lay a fresh layer of tread on the trail. All female-identifying, non-binary, gender-nonconforming individuals are welcome to join this safe (and gorgeous!) space.

When: Saturday, October 21st; 9am-12pm. Registration Required

Meeting Location: Fort Funston, main parking lot. Meeting directions will be listed in the registration confirmation email.​

AGE, SKILLS, WHAT TO BRING:

  • Ages 12 and up; Volunteers under the age of 15 need parent/guardian supervision. Read our Youth Policy Guidelines (PDF).

  • Bring your completed Volunteer Agreement Form (PDF). Volunteers under the age of 18 must have the parent/guardian approval section signed.

  • Wear clothes that can get dirty. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Bring layers for changing weather and rain gear if necessary.

  • Bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.

  • No experience necessary.

  • Training and tools will be provided.

COVID-SPECIFIC GUIDELINES

  • Stay home and DO NOT attend if you:

    • Have any illness symptoms

    • Have tested positive for COVID-19

    • Suspect you have had contact with a COVID-19 positive case

  • Face coverings and social distancing are encouraged, but not required.

The Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
