Hike Like a Local in San Francisco's Golden Gate National Recreation Area
Backpacker Magazine interviewed our very own Paul Myers, Senior Digital Content Producer at the Parks Conservancy, about his tried and true hiking spots in the Golden Gate National Parks. His favorite spots include:
- Walking the California Coastal Trail and the Batteries to Bluffs Trail in the Presidio.
- Hiking the Dipsea Trail, the Steep Ravine Trail, the Stapelveldt Trail, the Ben Johnson Trail, and the Bootjack Trail in Marin County.
- Camping at Hawk Camp in Tennessee Valley.
- Surveying endangered Mission blue butterflies and silver lupine along the Milagra Ridge Trail in Milagra Ridge.
