The William Penn Mott, Jr. Presidio Visitor Center is a 4,000-square-foot facility at the north end of the Main Post and serves as a new welcoming and orientation gateway, where visitors are introduced to the vast natural, cultural, and historical resources of the Presidio—and plan their adventures across the park.

Located 45 minutes west of Bear Valley on the Point Reyes Headlands, at the end of Sir Francis Drake Blvd., the Center is a 650 meter (0.4 mile) uphill walk from the parking lot. Browse exhibits on the historic Point Reyes Lighthouse, whales, seals, sea lions, wildflowers, birds, and maritime history.

Adjacent to the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge this is a beach-side campground boasting spectacular views.

Reservations for parking and seats on the Muir Woods shuttle are now required seven days a week, year-round.
