Sharon Farrell (Vice President of Stewardship and Conservation), will lead a discussion on past and present restoration projects in the Golden Gate National Parks.
This day-long course is co-hosted/sponsored by the Conservancy's Alcatraz Gardens program and will begin with a tour of the historic gardens with manager Shelagh Fritz to gain inspiration for you to create your own mosaic. With ideas in mind, local artist Kristi Halva will walk through the steps of creating a beautiful piece of art of your own. Participants will also see the Alcatraz Florilegium on display, a collection of botanical illustrations depicting the plants of Alcatraz.
With a beautiful backdrop of the Alcatraz Historic Gardens, Tiffanie Pahl, a passionate crafter and tireless upcycler, will teach this two-hour workshop where beginners are welcome.
