The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy Board of Trustees today announced its selection of Christine S. Lehnertz as the organization’s new President & CEO.
The National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy are proud to be organizing a year-long commemoration of Muir Woods’ Centennial Year.
Just in time for summer visitors in 2017, the historic Baker-Barry Tunnel—a main artery into the Marin Headlands that’s popularly known as the “Five-Minute Tunnel”—has been reopened after significant upgrades.
Our hope is that youth throughout the Bay Area, especially those from communities underrepresented in national parks, have access to park lands and benefit from the park’s wide range of youth leadership and educational opportunities.
The Parks Conservancy teamed up with the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, National Park Service, Presidio Trust, and City and County of San Francisco on a number of improvements prior to the bridge’s 75th Anniversary in 2012.
Members of the Crissy Field Center staff will make a presentation at the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Education (ICEE) on November 26-28, 2007, in Ahmedabad, India.
