Michael ChassМ© (Natural Resources Manager for the Park) will share the story of how San Francisco's rare endemic manzanitas were once thought to be lost forever, only to be rediscovered and brought back from the brink of extinction. Come learn about the current efforts by park staff are restoring populations of these species to the San Francisco landscape.

This next class in the Botany Series will delve into how to use taxonomic keys to identify plants. Taking the Plant Terminology class is strongly recommended before taking this class. This class will be taught by Brett Stevenson (Ecological Restoration Coordinator), Esperanza Pimentel (Biological Science Technician) and Stacy Jacobsen (Seed Collection Ecologist for Presidio Nursery).
