This next class in the Botany Series will delve into how to use taxonomic keys to identify plants. Taking the Plant Terminology class is strongly recommended before taking this class. This class will be taught by Brett Stevenson (Ecological Restoration Coordinator), Esperanza Pimentel (Biological Science Technician) and Stacy Jacobsen (Seed Collection Ecologist for Presidio Nursery).

Taught by the skilled Naomi LeBeau (Park Stewardship Restoration Specialist), this class will provide an introduction to the botanical terms commonly used in identifying plants with a taxonomic key.

Dune ecosystems support an incredible variety of fauna and flora and the park has some amazing examples! Michael ChassМ© will lead this class in learning the basics of dune ecology followed by a walking tour of the dunes in the Presidio!
