In this workshop, Desmond Murray (Presidio Seed Specialist and Longtime Bay Area Gardener) will emphasize natural pruning techniques, fertilizing, pest care, and water management for California native plants. Tools and gloves for the hands-on portion will be provided.

Led by Doc Miles (Professional Photographer and Park Volunteer Photographer), this class is for those who are ready to take their photography to the next level. You will gain a better understanding of light, composition, and how to create a message with your photographs.

Create your own plaster casting of amazing botanicals through this fun, easy and rewarding process! The class will begin with a walking tour of the gardens to learn about Alcatraz’s garden history and the work to restore the historic gardens.

In this class Doc Miles covers all the features of both Apple Photos on your iPhone or desktop and on the Lightroom CC Mobile App. This class will also help the learner understand the basic concepts of Tone, Sharpening, Color Correction, Cropping, and much more.
