Join us for an afternoon of litter removal at Quartermaster Reach Marsh! Opened in 2020, the restored marsh stands as a major milestone in the 25-year revitalization of the Tennessee Hollow Watershed and the Presidio’s northern waterfront. In the years since its opening, Quartermaster Reach Marsh has become an important habitat for birds, aquatic animals, and 40 species of saltmarsh and dune plants. Unfortunately, litter from the surrounding roadways tends to accumulate in the marsh, threatening the birds and other animals that call the marsh home.
Check the Presidio Trust website for additional updates.
Groups of five or more require special arrangements and must be confirmed in advance. Visit our Groups volunteer page to learn more.
The Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
