National Park Week (April 19-27, 2025) is a great excuse to celebrate all our national parks have to offer, especially here at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in the San Francisco Bay Area. Learn more about National Park Week 2025 on NPS.gov.

Whether you learn about National Park Service Park Rangers or go on a hike with your pooch, there are so many ways to honor this special week.

Each day of National Park Week, take simple but powerful actions to show your love for national parks:
Day 1: Speak Up – Call or email your representatives to demand park funding.
Day 2: Give Back – Volunteer at a national, state, or local park.
Day 3: Reduce Your Impact – Commit to zero-waste hiking and eco-friendly outdoor practices.
Day 4: Learn & Educate – Share stories about park conservation and why they matter.
Day 5: Donate – Support organizations that protect and expand access to public lands.
Day 6: Get Outside – Visit a national park, urban green space, or community trail.
Day 7: Spread the Word – Share your story with #ProtectParks #StandUpNationalParks #NationalParkWeek
