The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, together with the National Park Service, has developed a tree management plan for Sutro Heights Park. This plan identifies management zones within the park and provides prescriptions for tree management based on site priorities and each zone’s unique attributes. 

COASTAL RESILIENCE PROJECTS are how we're responding to sea level rise affecting our public coasts. Sea level rise is a symptom of global warming, which is being caused by burning fossil fuels. Rising water levels could reach 2 to 5 feet by the year 2100, with huge impacts to communities and ecosystems if no action is taken.

Black Point Historic Gardens is the San Francisco Bay Area’s newest national park site, a one-acre hillside that connects San Francisco’s Aquatic Park to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) at Fort Mason. 

The Redwood Creek Watershed Collaborative has supported numerous trail, interpretation, safety, and natural and cultural resource projects in in Muir Woods since 2012.

The wetlands near the parking area at Rodeo Beach have been the focus of National Park Service and Parks Conservancy restoration efforts.

Historically a military post, Fort Baker has been transformed into a welcoming national park site with miles of hiking trails, stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge, restored historic structures and natural habitat, and a LEED-Gold certified national park lodge.

Perched above Tennessee Hollow, Inspiration Point offers views of rare serpentine grasslands, historic homes, and forest canopies.

Restoration around the Inspiration Point overlook began in the mid-1990s and continues through ongoing stewardship to this day.

The wild coastal bluffs of the western Presidio are dotted with a remarkable array of natural, historic, and recreational resources that the Parks Conservancy has been working hard to enhance and restore.
