Do you ever wish we could look back in time? We can, by studying the cosmic microwave background (CMB), which reveals the fiery early universe when it was only 0.003% of its present age. This talk will show how studying the CMB allows us to learn about the origin, composition, and ultimate fate of the universe.

Connect with your mountain by spending a day improving trails! We will hike two miles to Nora Trail below historic West Point Inn. Our crew will repair a bridge, upgrade water bars, install a trail marker and do some light brushing.

Join local hydrologist Peter Hartsough and MMWD staff Mike Swezy to learn more about how the hydrology of West Peak influences the watersheds it feeds, and how geology and climate in turn influence the mountain's hydrology.

Volunteers will focus on removing Douglas-fir seedlings from the oak woodlands along the Taylor Trail.
