Dan Friedman/Presidio Trust
When: Saturday December 6th, 9 am–Noon
Where: Presidio of San Francisco. Specific meeting location will be listed in the registration confirmation email.
Kick off this year’s planting season at the new Sunset Scrub restoration area. We have 1,700 perennial container plants that need to be planted at Sunset Scrub, and thousands more that need to be planted over the course of the season at other sites around the Presidio.
Sunset Scrub is the latest in a series of dune habitat restoration projects, and its restoration means there will be an uninterrupted swath of intact dune habitat between Washington Boulevard and Lincoln Boulevard, creating an important corridor for wildlife. This new habitat is suitable for our rare dune annual plants including the endangered San Francisco lessingia.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
