A combined effort between the Parks Conservancy and the National Park Service’s Golden Gate Trail Crew, the Trails Stewardship Team engages numerous volunteers in the act of restoring and maintaining 125 miles of trails within the Golden Gate National Parks.
For the first time since the Crissy Field Promenade was opened in 2001, the entire 1.5-mile length of the popular pathway will be repaired. Starting in March 2017, the promenade will be closed, section by section, for resurfacing work that will improve its durability and sustainability.
