Our already popular partnership with the San Francisco Public Library went to new heights in 2018. We saw a 24 percent increase in Summer Stride participation and 46 percent increase in ranger program participation!

It's been almost 20 years since Crissy Field was transformed into the beloved parklands we know today. Now, we look to what's next.
Crissy Field's next chapter

Almost 20 years ago, Crissy Field underwent a major transformation from parking lot to beloved park. Today, parts of the park are in need of repair and rehabilitation, while other areas hold potential not yet realized. Help its future take flight by participating in the Crissy Field Next project!

Beauty, death and drama: Live bird cams are nature’s soap opera

A recent addition to the field is a camera trained on peregrine falcons on Alcatraz Island off the San Francisco coast. Since debuting on May 2, the live stream, a collaboration between the National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, has attracted more than 130,000 users, according to the conservancy.
