He received his MSc and PhD working on Swainson's Hawks in California examining a number of aspects of their ecology, conservation and population dynamics.

Teresa Ely was a GGRO Intern in 2008. She completed her Master’s degree in Biology at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, studying American Kestrel biology, before returning to GGRO as Banding Manager in 2016.
