While the beach escaped major damage, it highlighted the need for adaptive solutions to promote climate resiliency along the coastal areas of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA).

Crissy Promenade Repairs Slated to Begin in March

For the first time since the Crissy Field Promenade was opened in 2001, the entire 1.5-mile length of the popular pathway will be repaired. Starting in March 2017, the promenade will be closed, section by section, for resurfacing work that will improve its durability and sustainability.
