Alcatraz Gardens Class Series: Building Mosaics

This day-long course is co-hosted/sponsored by the Conservancy's Alcatraz Gardens program and will begin with a tour of the historic gardens with manager Shelagh Fritz to gain inspiration for you to create your own mosaic. With ideas in mind, local artist Kristi Halva will walk through the steps of creating a beautiful piece of art of your own. Participants will also see the Alcatraz Florilegium on display, a collection of botanical illustrations depicting the plants of Alcatraz.

Golden Gate National Parks to Host BioBlitz 2014: Exploring and Celebrating Biodiversity of the Parks, March 28-29, 2014
