In this workshop, Rebecca Blanck-Weiss (Presidio Nursery Operations Coordinator and Landscape Designer) and Desmond Murray (Presidio Nursery Community Programs Manager) will get you starting on your California natives landscape, with emphasis on using drought-tolerant species.

Continue with our nursery class series and delve into the interesting and delicate techniques used to treat our native seeds to start germination and our growing season! This class will be led by Alisa Shor (Director of the Park Nurseries) and Robin Binaoro (Marin Headlands Nursery Assistant).

Learn techniques to quickly and accurately draw mammals in the field. This workshop will focus on understanding key points of mammal anatomy that help you pose and draw mammals from any angle.

The nursery series kicks off the year with a discussion on how to prepare for the growing season! This class is designed for our nursery and field interns, but anyone interested in Nursery Management is welcome!

This day-long course is co-hosted/sponsored by the Conservancy's Alcatraz Gardens program and will begin with a tour of the historic gardens with manager Shelagh Fritz to gain inspiration for you to create your own mosaic. With ideas in mind, local artist Kristi Halva will walk through the steps of creating a beautiful piece of art of your own. Participants will also see the Alcatraz Florilegium on display, a collection of botanical illustrations depicting the plants of Alcatraz.

Learn about and listen for owls, as we take an easy evening walk on the trails of the Marin Headlands.
