Trails Forever brings together staff and volunteers from the three partner agencies—National Park Service, Parks Conservancy and Presidio Trust—toward protecting the many resources in this amazing park and creating access to them.

One Tam’s projects and programs aim to improve the health of the mountain’s natural resources, and grow a new generation of stewards. Our regional approach to science, stewardship, and collaboration across boundaries is key to protecting the mountain in our changing environment.

A former program of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the Institute at the Golden Gate was conceived to incubate knowledge and innovation in parks. Embedded in one of the country’s most visited and influential national parks, we convened leaders and influencers to forge unconventional partnerships to reach beyond traditional park boundaries.

During the autumn months, our teams of volunteer hawk counters identify and tally 19 species of birds of prey, working under the leadership of an experienced dayleader.
