What was once the nation’s premier Army post is now a vibrant 1,500-acre national park offering spectacular vistas, rich history natural beauty, and opportunities for recreation, entertainment, and play. And the new state-of-the-art William Penn Mott, Jr. Presidio Visitor Center offers and incredible array of experiences to visitors to help them discover the Presidio.

As 2024 draws to an end, we find ourselves looking back on the moments we spent together in these special lands we call the Golden Gate national parks.

At Parks4All: Pink Full Moon Party, we celebrate the start of the spring season of renewal and growth under April's pink full moon.

It was a fungi February in the Presidio as the public joined us to explore the weird and wonderful world of fungus in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

The Parks Conservancy’s third annual Parks4All: Pink Full Moon Party lit up the Presidio Tunnel Tops with unforgettable energy and vibrant springtime vibes! As the full moon rose over San Francisco, attendees gathered in their finest pink attire to celebrate the season of renewal and growth under April’s "Pink" Full Moon.

Best viewed on Alcatraz Island from February through July during the breeding season. Look for active nesting colonies along the western cliffs and rocky ledges.
