The four nurseries of the Parks Conservancy are hubs of community and education programming, located in the Marin Headlands, the Presidio of San Francisco, Fort Funston, and Oceana High School (Pacifica). We aim to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for youth to explore their connection with nature.

Standards-Aligned Programs:

We offer NGSS standards-aligned programs for grades 2-4. Each program  as well as service-learning programs for youth of all ages at our Presidio, Marin Headlands, and Fort Funston locations. All nurseries education programs are free. Additionally, limited bus scholarships are available for eligible Title I schools. Applications for standards-aligned programs are open in early fall for that academic year.

Youth Service Programs:

We offer service-learning programs for youth at all four of our nurseries. At the Presidio, Marin Headlands, and Fort Funston locations, schools and community groups may arrange a program, which can be tailored to fit a range of needs and requests. Individual youth participants are also invited to join our weekly community volunteer programs. All nurseries programs are free.

At the Oceana High School Nursery, enrolled high school students can participate in our weekly on-site program.
