Three students from Ex’pression College lent their talent this semester to produce a commercial, aimed at youth, for the park’s volunteer programs. We think they deserve an “A”—and two thumbs up! Watch their awesome work; we think you’ll agree.

As the Conservancy’s Park Stewardship Program approaches its 20th anniversary, we’re celebrating places transformed by the program, such as Mori Point, and people who have made the transformation possible, like Ron Maykel. Learn more about one of the park’s “renaissance men.”

If you’ve got free time, come volunteer in the parks! Not only is it free, but it’s a fun, rewarding, and healthy way to spend a summer day. And it’s easy to get involved. Give volunteering a try—you’ll be glad you did!

The park has partnered with SFSU and CCSF to engage college students in semester-long Academic Internships. The spring semester pilot in 2013 has been an incredible success and we’ve had the honor to work with some amazing young adults. Hear them share their experiences!

Muir Woods Earth Day is the longest-running event in the Golden Gate National Parks. It’s also one of the most enjoyable volunteer opportunities of the year. And it’s on January 26, 2013. Find out why we celebrate “Earth Day”—in the middle of winter.

October 5–7 was one very busy weekend in San Francisco, with Fleet Week and America’s Cup headlining two of the many, many events going on in the City. Even so, folks involved with both spectacular events still found time to give some TLC to the Golden Gate National Parks.

Teens on Trails is a volunteer program designed uniquely with high school students in mind: our volunteer work days are hosted on school holidays!

Our goal is two-fold: we welcome students to cool park sites where we’ll provide some education, snacks, and good times—and in turn, much-needed work gets accomplished…
