Fabulous fencing: Volunteers help make Presidio Bluffs safe

Share

New fencing at the Presidio Bluffs helps protect visitors and sensitive habitats.

Last month, the stewardship crew worked in the Presidio Bluffs along some of the many scenic viewpoints of the Pacific Ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge. The windy days didn’t stop our great turnout of volunteers; with their help, we installed over 250 feet of thimble eye and post and cable fencing throughout just 2 days!

The enticing views from these lookouts can lead visitors just off the trail and onto dangerous ledges and sensitive plant habitat; with these fences, we’re providing a helpful trail boundary for walkers, families, and photographers alike.
