Explore the charm, seclusion, natural wonders, and historic and cultural variety of the Presidio. Stunning views await you on this short trip through forests and grasslands and along coastal bluffs, from the Presidio's south-central entrance to its northwest tip and back.

Leaving from the immensely popular Muir Woods National Monument, this hike is a good example of the hikers “rule-of-halves.” This rule states that the number of hikers on trail decreases by half every half mile.
