The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy has received a new $5 million grant from the Richard and Rhoda Goldman Fund to support restoration efforts at Lands End—bringing the Fund’s total support of the Lands End project to $8.6 million.

To better protect Muir Woods’ extraordinary natural resources and improve visitor experiences and safety, the National Park Service will require reservations for vehicle parking and shuttle seats, beginning Jan. 16, 2018. Reservations can be made online or by phone starting Jan. 1.

The Presidio Tunnel Tops is the newest national park experience coming in Spring 2022. It will be a place where visitors and residents can gather with friends and family to play and learn, take in panoramic views of the bay and city, experience culture and community, and launch their adventure in the Presidio and across the Golden Gate National Parks.

The Parks Conservancy and National Park Service began improvements to the Bay Trail at Battery East in 2008, with the construction of bicycle, pedestrian, and accessible paths where formal trails did not previously exist.
