Chip Trail at Fort Funston Road
Take a walk with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in Fort Funston and experience the natural splendor of the “Great Dune Waste” that used to cover most of the peninsula of San Francisco. This walk will focus on sharing general knowledge of sand dune environments and the local plants and animals that live in them, the environmental services they provide, as well as how we at the Conservancy manage and maintain these areas.

We will be sharing information about fish and mammals that live in the waters around San Francisco, how habitat restoration work and parks affect water, and some of the recent events and changes to the oceans around the Bay.
