A life-sized blue whale,on display at Crissy Field in San Francisco, seeks to make a big statement about ocean pollution.
An 82-foot art installation is on display at Crissy Field to raise awareness of single-use plastic and ocean pollution. Sponsored by the aquarium in partnership with the National Park Service and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy.
An 82-foot-long sculpture of a blue whale was revealed at Crissy Field on Oct. 12, 2018. The art installation, commissioned by the Monterey Bay Aquarium, was meant to draw attention to the problem of plastic pollution in the ocean.
Some libraries are getting young kids reading by taking the books outside.
The swearing-in ceremony featured an American trifecta: citizenship, national parks, and public libraries.
